RURCON
The seed of RURCON, as a PAN-African Organisation covering subsaharan African countries, as sown in the early sixties. At that time, various Churches and Missions approached Faith and arm, which was established by the Sudan United Mission (SUM), to form an interdenominational organisation to serve all Churches. This led to the formation of the Christian Rural Advisory Council (CRAC) in 1965. CRAC was successful in helping Northern Nigerian Churches in their wholistic development work. In 1971, RURCON came into being as a result of inquiries from other Missionaries and African Churches. Peter Batchelor and Barnaba Dusu formed RURCON to help these Churches.

RURCON has since become an- independent and a uniquely Christian Development Education and Organisation Development Agency that assists Churches and Christian Organisations in their Wholistic Development work. RURCON has worked with Churches and Christian Organisations in 36 African countries. The present operational focus of RURCON is West Africa.
